From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On March 31, 2015, fa was operating air Wisconsin (A6WA) flight #3732, (CL-65, N452AW) from Charlotte Douglas international airport, Charlotte, NC (clt) to philadelphia international airport, philadelphia, pa (phf). During boarding the sole flight attendant informed a male passenger, seated in row 11C, that his roller board luggage would have to be gate checked. The bag was too large to fit under the seat or in an overhead bin. He informed her that he had medication in his bag. The flight attendant told him he could take the medication out of his bag and then she would gate check it. The passenger was upset that his bag had to be gate checked. He shoved the bag at the flight attendant striking her in the abdomen.

The flight attendant completed her pre- departure duties and went to take her jumpseat. When she put on her seatbelt she felt pain and pulling in the area where she had been struck. She contacted the captain and informed him that she didn't feel well. The aircraft returned to the gate and was met by emts and law enforcement.

The emts viewed the flight attendant's injury. She declined to go to the hospital. Due to her injury she was unable to operate the rest of her flight.
