From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

Mr. Duncan provided me with a copy of a log book entry that addresses reported alternator failure along with a "generic" pilot written statement of events that occurred on June 17, 2012 in relation to electrical power loss. Mr. Duncan stated to me that after troubleshooting the reported issues upon the aircraft's return, he could not duplicate the problems incurred by the pilot and returned aircraft to service.
