From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The Diamond DA-20 aircraft was parked next to another aircraft and the pilot believed his wing was too close to the other aircraft. The Diamond aircraft has a free castering nose wheel and is steered by differential braking. As the pilot started his taxi roll, the aircraft started turning to the left towards the other aircraft. The pilot stated he pushed both brake pedals but the aircraft continued left, striking the parked aircraft with its wing, prop and spinner. The other aircraft received damage to its cowling, wing and fuselage. The pilot's aircraft received minor damage and he was not injured.
