From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On September 1, 2012 the pilot departed fredericksburg, TX at 0735L with flight plans to Lancaster Regional (lnc), TX. The flight time enroute to lnc was uneventful. Weather contiditon was not a factor. He touched down at lnc at approximately 0905L, upon slowing down to approx 20 mph he brought the tail wheel down and shortly thereafter he experienced a strong turn to the right. He then applied his left brake but over-corrected causing the aircraft to ground-loop. He came to rest on the left side of runway 13, approxmatily 1500 ft from the landing threshold. The propeller and right wing impacted the ground and the right main gear leg came out of the gear box. There was some minor damage to the lower enging cowling but no observable damage to the fuselage or empennage. The pilot did not suffer any physical injuries.
