From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

During an instructional flight, the flight instructor (CFI) was evaluating a student for re-solo. During the landing roll out the aircraft experienced a slight yaw to the right which caused it to leave the center line of rwy 20R at pabv (student flying).the CFI told the student to get back on the center line. The student stated that he has the left rudder all the way in, the CFI then took control of the aircraft and applied left rudder and found it fully depressed. The CFI then tapped the left brake and there was no redirection of the aircraft to the left. At this time the CFI gently applied pressure to both brakes while holding the stick full aft. The tail started to lift and the CFI removed his heels from the brakes and the tail continued to lift until the a/c came to rest on its nose. The occupants exited the aircraft without incident. Aircraft damage:propeller, spinner, air filter, oil cooler, engine damage due to propeller/sudden stoppage and right wing tip from last out board rib to right wing tip navigation light assembly. No spar or engine firewall damage.
