From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

When the pilot departed Dutch for akun the runway was wet and the weather was improving. When he returned 45 minutes later, the temperature had dropped below freezing. The runway was icy with patchy bare spots. As he approached the airport the weather was deteriorating rapidly and he was unable to circle to land into the wind. While rolling out/taxiing a gust of wind caught the airplane as one wheel was on a bare spot causing the plane to yaw. At the next bare spot, left main regained traction, and collapsed due to the side load.
