From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On March 2, 2013 at approximately 1030 hours, N881RW a Piper PA-18 was taxiing on the taxiway of runway 11. N881RW was heading towards the fueling ramp north of the taxiway.

The sametime N8713U, a Cessna 172 had just completed a run up and checked his mags and had already turned toward runway 11 and was holding short on the taxiway because he heard on the UNICOM that an aircraft was in the pattern and was going to land on runway 11.
