From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The multi-engine aircraft departed klgb with a certified flight instructor and single engine land/instrument rated student pilot on board, shortly after takeoff the radios started to fail. The pilot in command decided to return to the airport and received landing clearance from air traffic control tower (ATCT) after advising the ATCT the aircraft was experiencing electrical problems, however, he did not declare an emergency. Upon landing the landing gear collapsed and propellers struck the runway. The aircraft veered to the right and came to rest approximately 800 feet from the initial point of touchdown on runway 25L between runways 34R and 34L. The initial inspection of the aircraft at the point where the aircraft came to a complete stop on the runway identified that the aircraft landed without the landing gear fully extended.
