From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The pilot was practicing night touch and go's in preparation for his up comming biannual flight review. Prior to the accident, the pilot flew over the numbers of runway 30 with an airspeed of 100 mph and forgot to put the landing gear down. The pilot added full power and attempted to go around. The aircraft slammed hard to the ground and skidded to a stop. Fire was seen coming out of the left side of the plane so the pilot quickly jumped from the plane.
