From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Student was flying a simulated single eng. ILS app. To rwy 9L, all checklists completed with verified 3 ldg. Green lts. And no red lt.. ATC amended the clearance to 9L and cleared the acft. To land on 9C.

The student sidestepped the acft. To rwy 9C at approx. 600 agl' and continued a stabilized app. To approx. 200 agl' and 25 degree flap setting was selected.

The acft. Touched down smoothly and aerodynamic braking was applied followed by the instructior's application of light braking. Suddenly the lt. wing hit the rwy. And the acft. Continued veering off the lt. of the rwy.

The instructor applied rt. Rudder, but the acft. Continued to exit the rwy. To the lt.; as the mixture controls were set to cutoff. The acft. Exited the rwy., onto the grass and slid and came to a stop in a ditch. All elect. Switches were turned off except the batt. And radio masters which were used for ATC comm.

P.I.c. and student exited the acft., no injurie sustained and the fire rescue along with sfb airport auth. Personnel arrived shortly after the occupants exited. Fire rescue personnel secured the cockpit, deemed the acft. Safe and no fuel or fluid leakage was noted. After notification by FAA r.o.c., I spoke to the p.I.c. and privacy data omitted of the sfb airport auth. Who req. Permission to remove the acft. And I gave him permission.

As the FAA filed it

FIRE RESCUE PERSONNEL SECURED THE COCKPIT, DEEMED THE ACFT. SAFE AND NO FUEL OR FLUID LEAKAGE WAS NOTED. AFTER NOTIFICATION BY FAA R.O.C., I SPOKE TO THE P.I.C. AND ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ OF THE SFB AIRPORT AUTH. WHO REQ. PERMISSION TO REMOVE THE ACFT. AND I GAVE HIM PERMISSION.

^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ ALSO STATED THAT HE TOOK PHOTOS AND THEY WILL BE PROVIDED TO THE FAA.
