From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

According to the pilot, it was his second flight of the day and the purpose was to check out a radio. He landed runway 5 at Galion airport and the airplane swerved a little bit which he corrected with braking. When slowing to make the turn to clear the runway he said he braked too hard and the airplane tail went up and in slow motion the airplane flipped over onto its back.

The aircraft sustained damage to the top of the vertical stabilizer, broken windshield, propeller bent (q-tipped) and nose cone dented. Right-hand side wing spar bent.
