From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The PIC was conducting numerous flights on June 1, 2014. The PIC neglected to change the fuel selector to the fullest tank leading to fuel depletion in the fuel tank in use. The aircraft lost power and the PIC was able to land the aircraft on the runway but was unable to stop on the remaining runway and came to a rest about 30 feet past the runway end in a wheat field resulting in minor damage to a gear door on the main landing gear.
