From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot stated he was enroute in N5626C at 17000 ft when he noticed drop in manifold pressure. He notified ATC that he planned to divert the nearest airport. He reduced power settings and started his descent to (02A). Next oil pressure and manifold pressure dropped significantly and he declared an emergency. He then feathered the prop and shut down the engine. He attempted an emergency landing at 02A but rolled off the end of the runway. Aircraft came to stop with no injuries to pilot
