From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

N829T departed 03NC airport on the way to ilm to practice touch and gos on the first flight after annual inspection. Upon departure the pilot reported low/sporadic airspeed indication and chose to continue the flight with the landing gear in the down position. The pilot contacted Wilmington approach and requested immediate landing. The pilot stated that the aircraft ?did not feel right?. The pilot states that upon normal landing at ilm, the landing gear collapsed. Post accident inspection of the aircraft determined no mechanical faults or issues which points to pilot induced error as the cause of the accident.
