From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Erj N672AE, had four blown tires at takeoff. The takeoff was aborted and the passengers were off loaded on the runway and bussed back to the terminal. There were no injuries reported. It appears the number 3 tire let loose and then the load on the #4 at that speed caused the tire to let loose.

Both the number one and number two engines have sustained some FOD damage. The number one engine will require an on wing repair, the replacement of two bypass vanes, and the number two engine will require a removal and replacement. The gear doors on both sides were damaged, the right hand ib flap was damage and the 193 fairing sustained some minor damage. The aborted takeoff happened and the braking/sudden stop at that speed caused 1 and 2 to let loose. Terry was going to look into the #3 tire. During the takeoff roll everything looked normal until 135KTS. At that point the #3 wheel slowed by 17 KTS, then 1.5 seconds later both #3 and 4 increase. From looking at previous blow outs, when the tire goes the wheel speed suddenly increases. After they abort you can see when the #1 and #2 tires go as they are braking.

As the FAA filed it
