From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Untied flight 898 iah to msy reported to ATC moderate turbulence over lake charles, la at FL270. The weather was a top a cloud layer mostly clear. A short time later the flight declared a medical emergency. A flight attendant standing in the aft galley cut her head and suffered a broken arm as a result of the turbulence. She received attention from a nurse on board, who recommended the injured flight attendant remain in the galley. A dead heading flight attendant sat in the jump seat for landing so flight maintained minimum flight attendant requirement. Paramedics meet the flight and transported injured flight attendant to the hospital. I have been unable to obtain an NTSB accident report number.
