From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On departure from the philp s.w. goldson international airport (mzbz) which is in belize, the left main wheel departed the aircraft and was found on the side of the runway. The pilot was informed by belize tower that he had lost a part of his aircraft. Once he discovered it was his left main wheel he decided to continue back to the united states and burn off fuel before landing. The crew landed at Sarasota/Bradenton international airport (srq) on runway 14 with touchdown at the 1000 foot marker on the centerline. Once the left main gear touched the runway it stated to drag the aircraft to the left. After about 2000 feet the left main went off the left side of the runway into the grass and dug in. The aircraft turned sharp left and ended up facing 90 degrees away from the runway. There were no injuries to the four occupants. In the end, the left main wheel was missing, the left strut was bent about 90 degrees towards the left wingtip, and a piece of brake caliper was impaled in the left flap.
