From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Aerial application instruction taking place. Witness stated airplane circled the intended field then commenced a practice spray run from south to north along the edge of the field.

When the airplane got to the end of the run, the airplane pitched up into the top three powerlines. Two of the powerlines stretched and broke, but the third powerline snagged on the right main landing gear and drug the airplane to the ground.

It could not be determined which pilot was controlling the airplane when this event occurred.
