From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

After 2 takeoffs and landing, pilot departed kckv for K210. While enroute, pilot was briefed by khop departure that storm cells were in the area of K210. Pilot then elected to divert to K4M7. After 2 takeoffs and landings at K4M7, pilot departed for kckv.

At kckv, runway 23 was favorable with a known 300 dg crosswind at 15 to 25 knots. During the first landing attempt, pilot stated that he experienced up and down wind gusts. Pilot elected to abort landing and go around. While in the pattern, pilot stated that the up and down wind gusts had subsided.

On the second attemp, pilot stated that he touched down past the threshold of runway 23. Pilot also stated he applied the brakes before the intersection of runway 17, but was unable to stop the aircraft. The intersection is approximately 2100 ft. from start of runway 23, which is 4,000 ft in length.

Aircraft departed runway at a 212 dg heading. Aircraft initially impacted fence west of runway 5. After traversing fence, aircraft traveled an additional 25 feet ultimately coming to rest in a drainage ditch running parallel to airport's perimeter road.

Distance between end of runway and fence is approximately 125 feet. No tire impressions indicating hard braking were found in this area.

Over 175 feet of fence was damaged as a result of the aircraft's impact.
