From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

According to the pilot, ?I was descending for a landing when my plane lost lift and began to stall. I immediately applied full throttle for maximum power, but the plane continued to fall. I continued to apply full power, but the plane did not recover in time before striking the ground. There was tall sagebrush as well as a ditch at the point of impact. This caused the nose gear to break off which in turn caused a prop and right wing strike.? In an interview with the pilot he stated the aircraft was at approximately 500 feet AGL and 40-45 knots airspeed when the aircraft lost lift and began to sink.
