From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Aircraft landed on runway 25 after what appeared to be a normal approach and final descent. During rollout, aircraft departed the runway at a high rate of speed and ground looped in a grassy area adjacent to the runway coming to rest on taxiway alpha facing west. Local maintenance was unable to retract landing gear due to inoperative squat switches. Unable to determine functionality of squat switches prior to this incident. NTSB did not retain custody of the aircraft and records. The aircraft has departed. Awaiting further information from NTSB. Will amend this report if/when additional information is received from NTSB.
