What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
During taxi the pilot stated the brakes felt mushy and unresponsive. Upon attempting to turn around to taxi back to the ramp area aircraft failed to stop or slow down and struck a guard rail. Damage was limited to the propeller and cowling. The pilot realized that he had his feet positioned improperly on the combination rudder/ toe brakes of the aircraft which is what caused the mushy and unresponsive brakes. No injuries were reported.
