From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Aircraft experienced electrical problems enroute to Bahamas. Pilot elected to divert to Valkaria Airport to have checked out by maintenance. Pilot lowered gear on final but did not get gear down indications. He continued landing profile believing he heard the gear extend. Airplane settled further and landed belly up on rwy 14 prior to skidding and coming to rest. Investigation revealed loose/broken alternator wire which had caused the battery to drain. Electrical power was not available to lower the landing gear and pilot did not attempt emergency gear extension.
