From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Out of the block at 124O, cleared to taxi h C-1 a d. as taxi started, clearance revised to h D-1, hold short of D-1, near helicopters. SIC taxied out to the holding spot and both finished the checklists to the line. Crew held short of D-1 at the position that ground said. PIC had the aircraft from here. Held at that position for 10 to 15 mins and got taxi clearance when AS64 cleared the delta taxiway, delta 1, alpha, delta, hold short rwy 8. It was raining, started taxi straight ahead following the checklist. PIC didn't notice the sign until it caught his eye out of the right d window. PIC looked just as the right wing passed over the top of a short sign and before he could hit the brakes the right wing tip lens cover was broken by a taller second sign, about 2 inches inboard of the tip. The signs were 29 feet 10 inches offset from the taxiway h centerline. Wingspan 54 feet 6 inches. The bigger short sign was parallel with the taxiway and so its visibility was reduced, the smaller tall sign faced east and the back was weathered aluminum and weather was grey and rainy.

As the FAA filed it
