From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On August 22, 2020 at approximately 1435, an at 802A, serial number 802A-0759, N759FA crashed in a bean field while engaging in CFR 137 agricultural spraying operations. The sole occupant (pilot) was fatally injured and the aircraft was destroyed. An eyewitness (juvenile) to the accident described the aircraft ?flying into the ground?. The crash scene was relatively compact with substantial debris forward of the aircraft and little behind the aircraft. Vegetation behind the aircraft was unaffected. The area suggests the aircraft collided with the ground at a very steep angle. Aircraft impact signatures and final resting position suggest an accelerated stall and loss of lift which resulted in the crash.
