From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

2021-06-17 N2250P, Ayres Corporation S2R-G100930, 137 operator spraying a potato field with a fungicide landed in a field collapsing landing gear.

While cleaning up a previously missed area the PIC looked inside at a moving map and felt the aircraft make contact with the potato field, felt a vibration from the propeller contacting the ground. The pilot had enough airspeed to pull the aircraft into the air however the engine was no longer running. Because of the low altitude a restart was not attempted. The remaining fungicide (approximately 350 gallons) was jettisoned and full flaps were deployed. The aircraft landed in an adjacent field and the landing gear collapsed.
