From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The pilot stated he picked up the aircraft from a private strip near paris, Texas on Saturday 8/28/2021. He flew to sherman, TX (XS30) and purchased fuel filling all six tanks himself. He then departed for lubbock executive (F82).

20 Minutes into the flight the right engine began to lose power. He said the fuel flow kept decreasing and he tried the boost pump for that engine. He never switched tanks. He feathered the right engine and diverted to olney, TX (ony).

The aircraft could not maintain altitude on just the left engine. He said the left engine appeared to be making power until he pulled the throttle back just before landing.

The aircraft suffered substantial damage landing hard in a field near Windthorst, TX. The aircraft traveled approximately 200 feet after touchdown and struck several trees growing along a creek bed. The aircraft came to rest in the creek bed.

Inspection of the aircraft revealed continuity of all flight controls.

All four aux. Fuel tanks were full of fuel. Both wing tip tanks (main tanks) were breached. The amount of fuel remaining in the main tanks could not be determined.
