From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On January 11, 2022 approximately at 1247 eastern standard time a Piper PA-32-300 experienced a loss of power on a cross country flight and the pilot in command executed an emergency landing. The pilot the sole occupant received no reported injuries. The airplane is registered to the pilot.

The issue occurred in cruise flight approximately 1 hour into the current leg of the flight when the emergency landing was conducted due to an unspecified engine issue on an unpaved road. The sequence of events in the emergency landing caused substantial damage to aircraft.
