From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The pilot reported hearing a higher than normal noise level during takeoff. He realized that the baggage door was not completely closed but there wasn?t enough room to abort so he continued his takeoff. Once airborne, he received clearance from the tower to turn around and land. The aircraft touched down and began to pull to the right side of the runway. The pilot attempted to steer the aircraft back towards center but the right main landing gear collapsed and the aircraft stopped after approximately 75 feet. A piece of the main gear forward attachment was discovered on the runway approximately where the aircraft touched down.
