From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot stated he was conducting operational checks after the aircraft had completed it annual inspection in sulfer, OK. He stated that on the first flight he noted that the engine was running rough, and that on landing the brake seemed sluggish. Maintenance was perfomed to address the pilots observations. The aircraft was flown on a second flight around the pattern. During that flight the pilot described that on flight, the engine seemed to be running a rich "mixture", he was distracted by the rich mixture as he made the approach to landing and forgot to place the landing gear down.
