From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

After departing on runway 16 while climbing out on runway heading the engine lost power around 800 feet AGL. It continued to run but was not producing enough power to maintain altitude. The PIC made a 180 degree turn to attempt to return to the airport. The PIC was unable to make it back to the airport so and emergency landing was performed in to a corn field. No injuries and minor damage. During an inspection after the emergency landing a broken throttle cable was found.
