From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On November 27, 2022 at approximately 1143 local time, a Cirrus SR22T was north bound on approach to runway 34 at kgok. The pilot stated that just before touchdown at approximately 76 knots and less than 5 feet AGL, the pilot saw movement forward of the right side of the aircraft identifying it as a deer running from aircraft right to aircraft left on the runway. The pilot attempted to increase power and avoid hitting the deer, but the deer impacted the left wing damaging the leading edge. The impact on the left wing caused the aircraft to yaw left and the leftwing to drop. The left wingtip struck the ground, then the gear touched down with the aircraft still yawed left causing the aircraft to slide off the runway eventually coming to rest on taxiway alpha. The pilot was able to taxi to the parking ramp.
