From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Aircraft landed. Turned to the left and hit a drainage ditch. The nose gear folded under the aircraft and came to rest in the ditch. The pilot in command was a student pilot and had a valid solo endorsement for the flight to the Rockingham Shiloh airport ksif. Wind reported from the student pilot's flight instructor that was in the area monitoring ASOS at ksif reported that the winds were 3 knots.

Counselled the student pilot's flight instructor that I recommend student pilot be retrained on crosswind landings by him prior to the next solo flight. The flight instructor advised me that the student pilot is no longer with his flight school.
