What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
Pilot was on an off-airport tundra location he had landed previously. Location was sloped, and wind did not favor taking off downhill. Pilot's friend in a super cub departed up-hill into the wind with no problem. Pilot waited about 30 minutes and then attempted the same departure, became airborne briefly, but did not gain sufficient speed to climb over the hill so aborted the takeoff. Aircraft came to rest on tundra on its nose. Pilot stated he should have waited until afternoon because every day in the afternoon the wind switched and favored a downhill takeoff.
As the FAA filed it
PILOT WAS ON AN OFF-AIRPORT TUNDRA LOCATION HE HAD LANDED PREVIOUSLY.
