From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On June 8, 2023, after filling the fuel tanks of the airplane at the self service fuel station at Bend Municipal Airport (bdn), the pilot attempted to taxi the plane away from the fuel station towards the taxiway and then runway for departure. During this action the pilot allowed the plane's left wing tip to contact the fuel station structure causing a breach in the tank followed by a subsequent fire. The pilot and his passenger were able to exit the aircraft without injury. A majority of the left wing and fueslage was substantially damaged by the fire before the fire department was able to supress the flames.
