From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On June 27, 2023, at approximately 6:30PM (CST), student pilot was flying a Cessna C-150, solo, in the pattern, practicing touch and go procedures.

Landed hard on runway 17L, the aircraft sustained damage to the nose wheel assembly.

While on final approach after reaching the runway he arrested his descent and began to transition down the runway for landing too early. As a result, the plane landed harder than usual.

After landing he notified air traffic control (ATC) and followed their instruction.
