What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
Flight instruction at kapa, performing touch and goes. On 4th takeoff and early in the climbout, both pilots saw a line of geese but had no time to react before impact. Impact noted into the front of the airplane included propeller and engine area. Flight instructor immediately took the controls, maintained wings level and attempted to continue climb. Instructor was unable to gain sufficient altitude/airspeed to continue a normal traffic pattern. Multiple calls were made to ATC declaring emergency, with ATC offering any obtainable runway and clearing traffic in the pattern. Instructor pilot elected to make a landing at a golf course immediately in front of the aircraft rather than attempting to make a 180 back to the airfield. Initial landing conducted to golf course fairway was made without incident, but there was insufficient room to come to a stop. Aircraft continued landing roll onto the rough, hit a berm, and flipped over.
