What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
Experimental aircraft experienced a hard landing on a grass strip. The propellor blades from both left engines contacted the ground. The aircraft veered left and struck a golf cart near the edge of the runway. One person near the cart was slightly injured. The golf cart was damaged. The left wing was damaged on the leading edge with a dent near the outboard wing tip and dents inboard of the number 2 engine towards the fuselage.
21A: in this inspector's opinion, the nose wheel did not extend below the fuselage a sufficient distance for the length of the propeller blades. The builder expressed the same thoughts after the fact. He went back to the drawing board to modify the parts in question.
