From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

During the cruise segment of flight, the aircraft crew reported a cracked windshield to ATC and continued to destination airport. During a telephone interview the second-in-command (SIC) stated that he heard a “pop sound and the glass cracked”, and that there was no loss of pressurization. The SIC also stated that the pilot-in-command (PIC) and SIC went on oxygen as a safety measure. The SIC also stated that the aircraft landed uneventfully at Tweed-New Haven (hvn) airport, new Haven Connecticut. The maintenance personnel interviewed by telephone stated that the right front windshield was found cracked, and a definitive root cause was not apparent. The maintenance personnel also stated that no causal factors (frame structure, corrosion, etc.) Were noted by them during the removal and replacement of the windshield. The aircraft was returned to service on December 09, 2023.
