What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
Pilot was on final for runway 30 to klar, the plane was configured for landing, the landing checklist completed, including gear down and locked. A challenger jet then called on CTAF that they were on left base for runway 03, the crossing runway relative to 30. Pilot elected to yield to faster traffic, initiated a left 360 degree turn to allow other aircraft time to land and clear the runway. During 360-degree turn, pilot added power and raised landing gear. After the challenger jet landed and cleared the runway, pilot resumed his approach, but failed to re-run the landing checklist. FAA iic conducted counseling with pilot.
