What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
Pilot went to take off from the mountain house in DHC-2 beaver aircraft. DHC-3 otter was parked down the hill and to the left and one Cessna 170B was parked to the right. The pilot initiated his takeoff run, applied full right rudder to move over to the right to create adequate lateral spacing between his aircraft and DHC-3 otter. The pilot reported he got caught in a rut in the snow which pulled him to the left, and although he attempted to abort takeoff the left wing of DHC-2 beaver struck the outboard trailing edge of the DHC-3 otter's right wing.
