From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On June 7, 2025 at approximately 1530 local time, a Lancair 235 experimental amateur built aircraft was on approach to Pawhuska Municipal Airport (H76) runway 17. During the approach, the pilot actuated the gear down switch and proceeded to land on the runway where the prop struck the runway and the aircraft performed a gear up landing. The gear up landing resulted in substantial damage to the aircraft. The pilot later found that the copilot instrument panel hydraulic gear pump switch was off, which prevented the gear from extending when selected to the down position.
