From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

-During planned touch and go, the pilot flying called for gear up and selected gear handle to up while plane was still in takeoff roll.

-The RH gear leg and nose landing gear collapsed and the aircraft departed runway and into grass median.

-The aircraft slid for approximately 200 feet before veering to the right and into median.

-No damge observed to airport property.

-Aircraft hoisted into air and RH gear leg and nose landing gear leg came down and locked.

-Aircraft placed in maintenance and landing gear system function tested with satisfactory results.

-Aircraft sustained minor cosmetic damage to RH engine nacelle, nose, RH main/nose landing gear doors, and bent propeller blade tips.

-Pilot flying reported wanting to select flaps during touch and go. However, selected gear handle instead due to dissimilar selector locations between a CE-172 and accident aircraft.
