From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

A private pilot was returning to the airport. On landing, the pilot experienced a hard landing and the aircraft bounced. The pilot added power to initiate a go around. During the attempted go around, the aircraft drifted to the left, landing in the grass and continued across a taxiway, hit a retaining wall of a ditch, and came to rest in the grass.

Post flight assessment revealed damage to the aircraft including propeller blades, left main landing gear, nose landing gear, right flap, right wing leading edge, and a crack on the lower fuselage aft of the firewall.
