From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On April 17 at approximately 1908 zulu time, the pilot encountered dense cloud cover while en route from khot and descended through an opening with assistance from ATC and pireps. After descending below the cloud layer, the pilot identified Ardmore Downtown Executive Airport (1F0) and elected to land due to worsening conditions and turbulence.

The pilot executed an initial approach but went around due to being too high. On the second approach, in gusty winds reported up to 36 knots tailwind, the aircraft touched down farther down the runway than intended at a higher-than-desired speed.

Despite maximum braking, the aircraft was unable to stop within the available runway and exited the departure end. The pilot reported expecting grass beyond the runway but instead encountered limited overrun area followed by a significant drop-off.

As the FAA filed it
