From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot stated that he noticed a reduction in cruise speed after hearing and feeling a clunk. Pilot noticed the gear warning light and began to divert to the nearest airport. ATC directed him to the Arkadelphia, AR airport (adf). He made the approach to the Arkadelphia, AR airport (adf) runway 4. The nose gear was down and locked with the main gear dangling. After nose gear contact with the runway, as he slowed, he was unable to maintain directional control and the aircraft drifted left to the grass between the runway and the taxi way where it came to rest. The aircraft suffered a bent left stabilizer and elevator.
