What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
Nose gear failed to extend. During approach, the gear handle was lowered at/about 170 KIAS. Multiple eicas messages followed by unsafe nose gear indication (amber "barber poled" indication). Eicas messages cascaded in the following order: - gear door open - gear dsiagree n - gear control fault. Tower controller verified that nose landing gear appeared to be fully rectracted. Emer gear release handle pulled with no remedy (all indications remained). Mcc was contacted and alternate procedures attempted with remaining fuel. (G-loading, yawing, hyd system isolation, recycling emerg gear realease, (lastly, after discussing with mcc) landing gear handle was recycled. No remedy resulted. Due to low fuel remaining, landed with the nose gear retracted. Damage was limited to the nose gear doors, radome and radome bulkhead. Upon raising the aircraft maintenance found the doors out of sequence. The gear free fell as designed once the doors were sequenced properly.
