From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Video and witness statements describe the aircraft appeared to approach runway 16 fast, bounced two or more times and then attempted go around. During go around, video shows the aircraft porpoising and attempting a right turn out. Aircraft then entered an incipient spin to the left while clipping a tree and coming to rest in a water filled lagoon. Witnesses that saw the crash did not see any egress effort from pilot or passenegers. Rescue attempted but not successful due to aircraft being submerged and rescuers not able to release seatbelts.
