AIRCRAFT WAS NOT GROUNDED: AN EMERGENCY WAS DECLARED AND THE AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO JFK DUE TO THE FLIGHT CREW REPORTING THAT THE NOSE GEAR WOULD NOT RETRACT AND UPLOCK ON DEPARTURE.
