From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: c.c. air flight no. 5198 was in the process of taking off on runway 30 and was nearing rotation speed when a deer ran onto the runway and into the path of the departing aircraft. The deer ran from left to right and was struck by the right propeller and landing gear. The takeoff was aborted and the aircraft returned to the gate for passenger removal and inspection for damage. Upon inspection, the only visible damage was a damaged prop seal on the propeller blade that struck the deer. The right engine and prop were removed and shipped to a facility that will conduct an inspection for internal damage. There were no injuries. Submission of this report closes this incident.
